Hello, my name is Cory and I am one of the five team members running the natural gas blog thenaturalgas ALTERNATIVE.  I was not born in Colorado but have been raised here for the majority of my life and am proud to call it home.  Growing up I was a competitive ski racer through which I traveled all over North America for different races.  I am now a Sophomore at the University of Colorado, Boulder studying economics and playing rugby for the school.

I am currently enrolled in an upper division business writing course through which I am doing this blog.  Being a young investor, I am very interested in the global movement towards natural gas as a new alternative for our energy needs.  I am captivated by how many moving parts there are in the natural gas industry and am doing my best to understand as much about it as I can.

My particular role for the blog is to focus on the exploration of natural gas in terms of geographical areas, companies, and methods.  I intend to provide only the most reliable of information and commentary in an effort to properly educate each and every reader.  I look forward to sharing my research with the natural gas blogging community and hope that my work is enjoyed.

Hello, my name is Jay and I am one of the five team members writing the natural gas blog thenaturalgas ALTERNATIVE.  I am from Colorado and have spent most of my life here. However, I have travelled around the world and had many life changing experiences. Growing up I regularly participated in local community events. I hold community out reach close to my heart and believe that a well-informed community is the most effective way to help develop a cohesive society. I am a Senior at the University of Colorado, Boulder studying Economics and International Affairs.

I am currently enrolled in an upper division business-writing course through which I am doing this blog.  Seeing as Natural Gas is such a strongly polarized topic I hopped to help expand peoples understanding of the issue. Thereby, making it easier for people make an informed decision about the processing and legality of natural gas exploration and extraction.

My particular role for the blog is to focus on technological developments that have made natural gas a more efficient energy source.

My name is Arnas Butkus. I was born in Lithuania and at the age of eight, moved to Chicago, Illinois. I am currently a Junior in the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Last November my business partners and I started a company, vitaFUEL Ltd. Our first product is a focus boosting nutrition bar called Prime Focus. I enjoy meeting fellow entrepreneurs and learning about new technological advances in a variety of industries. Natural gas is of particular interest to me because it can decrease costs to consumers and companies using natural gas as a source of energy. Also it can decrease our dependence on imported energy sources, while having a smaller environmental impact.
Hello, my name is Rachel and I am one of the five contributors for the natural gas blog thenaturalgas ALTERNATIVE. I am a Junior at the University of Colorado majoring in Economics and minoring in Political Science. I am a Colorado native, born and raised in the same house my whole life. Moving up to Boulder has been a life changing experience to say the least. I have made so many amazing friends as well as memories that I will cherish long after I graduate.
I love being outdoors, no matter how cold or hot it may be, and I will always find an excuse to spend as much time outside as I can. I never knew how lucky I was to grow up in such a beautiful state until I came to Boulder and realized how fortunate I am to call this place home.
I am very excited to be apart of this natural gas blog because not only am I learning more about natural gas everyday, but my hope is that I encourage others to start understanding more about this new energy source as well.
